How CS Rating works

CS Rating behaves like an Elo system: you gain points for wins and lose them for losses, scaled by how strong the enemy team is. Beat a higher-rated team and you gain more; lose to a weaker one and you lose more. Winning matters far more than individual stats. For the full detail, read how CS2 Premier rating works.

Questions

How many CS2 Premier ranks are there?
Seven colour tiers based on your CS Rating: Gray, Light Blue, Blue, Purple, Pink, Red and Gold. Each tier spans 5,000 rating, except Gold which is everything above 30,000.
What is a good CS2 Premier rank?
Most players sit in Light Blue or Blue (roughly 5,000 to 15,000). Anything Purple and above puts you in the upper portion of the player base, and Gold (30,000+) is well under 1% of players.
How do I raise my CS Rating?
Win matches, especially against higher-rated teams. Round impact matters far more than your K/D. See our Premier rating guide for the full breakdown.
